Cranberry Apple Cider

Created with fall sipping in mind, Cranberry Apple Cider combines the best of the season – St. James Winery Cranberry wine, fresh juices, and whole spices. Mixed and warmed in a slow cooker, it’s easy and oh-so-delicious!

 

Ingredients:

1 bottle (750ml) St. James Winery Cranberry Wine

3 cups apple juice

1.5 cups orange juice

3 whole cinnamon sticks

1 tsp. whole cloves

1 – 12 ounce package of fresh cranberries (optional)

1 red apple, thinly sliced (optional)

 

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients in a large slow cooker. Heat on low for 3-4 hours or until hot and the spices are mulled. Ladle the cider into your favorite mug, sip, and relax. Keep the cider on warm and serve out of the crock for an evening of sipping and sharing, or refrigerate leftover Cranberry Apple Cider for re-heating and enjoying later.

Cranberry Holiday Sangria

Created in partnership with our friends at Just a Taste, the Wineberry Punch Holiday Cocktail is a delight to the senses. Craft with your choice of sweet or dry red wine to achieve your ideal experience.

Ingredients:

16oz red wine of your choice (we used Winemaker Norton 42)

8 oz Cranberry Wine

4oz Raspberry Wine

4 oz fresh orange juice

Ice

3 oz chilled Sprite

Lemon, Lime, Orange thinly sliced zest for garnish.

Instructions:

In a pitcher, combine the wines and juices. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Stir well and pour into ice-filled white wine glasses. Top each cocktail with ½ oz of Sprite and garnish with the citrus fruit zests.

1 bottle St. James Winery Peachy Sangria

1 can of St. James Winery Sparkling Peach Fruit Wine

1/2 cup of blanco Tequila

2 cups of watermelon diced or balled

10-15 fresh mint leaves

1 sliced lemon

Instructions

Place tequila and mint into a pitcher and muddle until mint is fragrant. Then, add one bottle of St. James Winery Peachy Sangria into the pitcher along with diced watermelon and lemon slices. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours. To serve, add a splash of St. James Winery Sparkling Peach Fruit Wine. Enjoy!

Made with St. James Winery Moscato or Vignoles semi-dry white wine, your guests will have no trouble picking their poison with this wicked Halloween cocktail recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Moscato or Vignoles
  • 24 ounces still or sparkling apple cider
  • 8 ounces caramel vodka
  • 4 – 5 red apples cut into medium dice

Instructions

In a punch bowl or a large pitcher, mix wine, cider, and vodka.  Chill well.  To serve martini-style, as pictured, place diced apples into a glass and pour the mixture atop.  If you prefer to make the potion by-the-drink, place diced apples into a glass, then add 3 ounces wine, 3 ounces cider, 1 ounce of vodka, and stir together.

 

Here’s a simple sangria recipe your guests will kill for. Our Redrum Sangria is a bloody perfect addition to any Halloween party.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of Pioneer Red or Friendship School Red
  • 2 shots of spiced rum
  • 2 oranges – wedged
  • 1 lemon – wedged
  • 1/3 cup of sugar or to taste
  • 2 cups of ginger ale
  • 1 tbsp grenadine

Instructions

Be sure to remove seeds from lemon and orange. Pour wine into pitcher and lightly squeeze juice from the wedges of one lemon and one orange. Place juice wedges into pitcher. Set second orange aside to use as garnish. Add sugar and stir thoroughly until it dissolves. Chill overnight and add ginger ale before serving. Garnish glasses with an orange wedge to add the perfect hue for the season.

Ingredients:

1.5 parts Moscato
1 part Peach wine
1 part Mango wine
Frozen chunks of peach and mango (optional)

Instructions:

Serve chilled and enjoy!

St. James Winery Party Punch

This mix is always a hit of the party!!!

Mix equal parts of the following:
Velvet White
Velvet Red
Blackberry
Blueberry
Cherry
Raspberry
Peach
Strawberry

Add ice and fresh fruit to taste. Stir and serve.

Cranberry Sangria

Seasonal Cranberry wine shines beautifully in this fruity, fun sangria recipe. Simple ingredients mix easily to create a festive blended wine cocktail that’s sure to please.

Ingredients

2 bottles Vignoles
1/2 bottle Peach Fruit Wine
3/4 bottle Cranberry Seasonal Wine
Bag of fresh cranberries
Bag of frozen peaches, chopped
Splash of club soda or ginger beer (optional bubbly)

Instructions

Mix all ingredients (excluding optional bubbly) together in a large pitcher. Chill for 3-4 hours, or overnight. Serve over ice with a splash of bubbly, and a fresh lime garnish.

  1. In a large pitcher, mix a bottle of Velvet White with the fresh orange juice and lime juice.
  2. Refrigerate for approximately 2 hours until chilled.

Serving Suggestion

Recommended to serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Pour the cocktail over the ice, garnish with an orange or lime slice and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup each dried apples, cranberries, and raisins
  • 6 dried apricots, cut into slivers
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, slit lengthwise
  • 1 short stick cinnamon
  • 1 bottle St. James Winery Pioneer Red Wine
  • 2 cups club soda

Instructions

  1. Stir together the dried fruit, brandy, honey, vanilla bean, and cinnamon in a large saucepan.
  2. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
  3. Stir in wine. Transfer mixture to a glass pitcher. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours to blend flavors.
  4. Immediately before serving, stir in club soda. Serve in glasses over ice.

Special Notes

Skewer fruit onto toothpicks for garnish to the glasses.
