The Easter weekend is coming up, and we hope you find you basket filled with all the things you love best … like maybe some wine from St. James Winery!

If you’re in the market for a traditional Easter Basket, look no further than our Velvet Red Basket which features a pretty Longhorn stained oval basket filled with our award-winning Velvet Red Wine, crackets, cheese spread, chocolates, and more. Order the basket and get it shipped for less than $50!

When it’s your job play Easter bunny and make some fun baskets for the grown-ups, hop on over to the wine aisle of your favorite market and grab a few packs of St. James Winery Velvet Red and Velvet White minis. These cute little 187ml bottles are just the right size to tuck into a basket. Add a chocolate bunny and some jelly beans and you’re set.

Psst — one more quick idea:  for an eggs-tra special bit of fun at an adults-only Easter egg hunt, use glue dots to attach a plastic egg to the labels of our mini-bottles. Then, hide the bottles in the grass, bottle-side down so only the eggs show.

St. James Winery's Riesling

The folks here in St. James have been counting down, and March 1 is it — the official beginning of trout-fishing season, and St. James Winery and Maramec Spring Park are ready to welcome all the trout-fishing enthusiasts headed to town.

Each year hundreds (and hundreds!) of anglers of all ages descend on St. James’s Maramec Spring, home to some of the best trout fishing in the Midwest. For generations, some dedicated families have driven long distances to continue their opening day perfect attendance records.

While you’re in town, stop by St. James Winery for our award-winning Riesling. This semi-sweet white wine, with its apple-like aroma and flavors of crisp, tart green apples, citrus, peaches and honey, is the perfect complement to fresh pan-fried trout.

And if you can’t make it to St. James for opening day — order up some Riesling to enjoy after a great day of fishing where ever you may be.

Happy Fishing!!

It’s another New Year’s Eve: Out with the old year and in with the new!

  • Close the bar in advance of the end of the party, the serve a substantial snack.
  • Make sure there’s a designated driver (or drivers!) on hand.
  • If guests at your party have indulged just a little too much, don’t let them drive themselves home. Let them stay over at your house or call a cab.
