Wine of the Week: Estate Norton
This week we are featuring a wine made from the official grape of our home state, Missouri! Our Estate Norton is a highly-awarded, dry red wine, made from our estate grown Norton grape.
Norton grapes have been cultivated since the 1830s and are considered to be the oldest grape variety in the United States of America. This grape is cherished by Missouri winemakers due to its rich flavor profile and ease of growth in the state climate.
The St. James Winery Estate Norton is part of our Frontier Series and represents the best of the Missouri wine frontier. It has a complex and rich taste with layered flavors of berries, vanilla, and bittersweet chocolate. Aged in oak, this elegantly structured, full-bodied dry red wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb.
