Crush Festival
Crush Festival in The Gardens at St. James Winery and Public House Brewing Company is Saturday, August 21st. This annual celebration is a fun and family-friendly way to kick off the Missouri grape harvest season.
Begin the day with an old-fashioned grape stomp, to be held in the parking lot from 11 am – 3 pm. Then, enjoy entertainment, a cold drink, and a bite to eat in The Gardens. Local musician Justyn Moreland performs live from Noon – 2 pm. From 2 pm – 3 pm, our friends at Independent Stave Company take center stage for a live cooperage demo. Watch up-close the art of crafting barrels that are used to age fine spirits, St. James Winery wine, and Public House Brewing Company beers. After the cooperage demo, local musician Mark Moebeck will perform from 3 pm – 5:30 pm, followed by a live cooking demonstration from our friends at US Foods. During the cooking demo, a Chef from US Foods will wow us with techniques and flavor combinations using some of your favorite Public House beers. To finish out this fun-filled day of celebration, the local duo The Velvet Bricks take the music stage at 6 pm and will play until 9 pm.
