St. James Winery is excited to be the official wine and cider sponsor of this year’s Big BAM on Route 66 and Big BAM on the Katy Trail! These two cycling events offer beautiful journeys for experienced and novice cyclists. If you don’t have a bike – you can still be a big part of this experience by joining us any (or every) evening in the featured community stops for a free concert and some St. James wine and McIntyre Cider.
For Big Bam on Route 66, cyclists start their ride in Joplin on June 17 and end in Eureka on June 22. This Big BAM (Bike Across Missouri) is a 304 mile journey that features rolling hills, beautiful roads, great people and small town hospitality. Big BAM on the Katy Trail will be October 7 through 12 starting in Clinton and ending in St. Charles. This route is 311 miles along the Katy Trail, offering riders a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoor beauty of Missouri during autumn. What better way to experience the peak colors of the season?
The director of Big BAM, Greg Wood, as quoted in KTTN News said, “The event is like a festival on two wheels. There are a lot of moving parts, but the cyclists are the friendliest people in the world, always encouraging each other onward. And there’s plenty of time to explore the small towns along the way. It’s a ride, not a race.”
At St. James Winery we love opportunities to experience the great State of Missouri. So whether you are a cyclist, a local seeking some community fun, or a traveler seeking a great Missouri experience, join us for Big BAM rides and relaxation destinations. We are excited to be a part of these great days and nights.
