Wine of the Week: Chambourcin

It’s back!!! Give a warm welcome to this week’s wine of the week, our recently released 2017 Winemaker Series Chambourcin!

With Chambourcin being first produced in 1963 by Joannes Seyve, this is a time tested and popular hybrid varietal. That, coupled with last’s year run being well-received by our customers, is the reason why this dry red has returned as part this year’s Winemaker Series.

Made with the best-of-the-best varietals and blocks of grapes, this handcrafted wine is ideal for a special night in. This dry red wine delivers smokey and dark flavors entwined with raspberry and dark chocolate aromas, exposed on the palate as liquorice, tobacco and oak. Experience this divine wine with your special someone by pairing it with smoked venison and spice cake.

The 2017 Winemaker Series Chambourcin is a limited release wine that is exclusively available at the St. James Winery Tasting Room and online while supplies last.
