Moscato Mania
Wine lovers around the world have gone just a bit mad for the fragrant light-bodied white wine, and in response to this wave of Moscato mania, St. James Winery is re-introducing its Moscato wine.
“Moscato wines have been enjoying a renewed popularity with the wine drinking public, and our customers have been asking for St. James Winery to bring back the Moscato we had produced several years ago,” said Peter Hofherr, CEO of St. James Winery.
“Last fall we introduced a Sparkling Moscato, and after the rapid sell-out we saw with that, we decided to re-introduce our still wine Moscato to the wine list. So the good news is, St. James Winery’s Moscato is back, and it’s better than ever! Customers should begin seeing it on the shelves later this summer.”
“St. James Winery’s new Moscato is truly luscious,” said Andrew Meggitt, executive winemaker at St. James Winery. “The flavor profile combines crisp nectarines and apricots, with juicy notes of tropical fruit, and coming together with a neat, clean finish. This wine also has a very nice, very delicate nose–just like dried apricot and pineapple. Plus, it’s golden color makes it a great late-summer wine to enjoy as the seasons start to turn.”
The love affair wine drinkers have with St. James Winery’s Moscato is no surprise, especially considering the variety of ways it can be enjoyed. This is a wonderful wine for a weekend brunch, it’s perfect as an aperitif, and delicious with cheeses or antipasto. Moscato also shines when paired with fruit-based desserts like pies, cobblers, and tarts. Its tremendous flexibility makes it a perfect all-purpose wine for just about any occasion.
