Peter Hofherr (Chief Executive Officer) graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in microbiology. He went on to receive a MBA from Georgia State University with an emphasis on finance and studied international banking and finance at the University of London. Peter returned to the family business after working for Coopers and Lybrand in their Financial Advisory Services consulting group. He served as general manager of St. James Winery from 1995 to 2001 when he went into public service as first Deputy Director, then Director of Agriculture for the State of Missouri. In 2007 Peter rejoined the family business and heads the St. James Winery team as chief executive officer. Currently, Peter is serving on Missouri's Wine and Grape Board as its chairman. Peter is finishing his PhD in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis in entrepreneurship at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He also serves as Assistant Director of the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Missouri, Columbia. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Andrew Hofherr (President) studied viticulture at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville under the direction of Dr. Justin Morris and returned home to the family business in 1987 as vineyard manager and viticulturlist. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Patricia Hofherr (Chairman of the Board) co-founded St. James Winery with her husband Jim in 1970 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of St. James Winery. As a pioneer in the renaissance of the Missouri wine industry, Pat helped lay the foundation for the future success of St. James Winery as well as the growth of the wine industry throughout the state. She has traveled extensively domestically and internationally and enjoys spending time with her seven grandchildren.

Andrew Meggitt (Executive Winemaker) joined the St. James Winery team in 2002. A native of New Zealand, he has been in the wine business since 1990. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Canterbury and a degree in viticulture and enology from Lincoln University. Before starting work as a winemaker he spent three years traveling in Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA. His wine experience during these travels influenced his outlook not only on winemaking styles but methodology and life and reinforced his desire to be part of the wine industry and encourage other people to enjoy the wine experience. With Andrew as head winemaker St. James Winery has the distinction to be among the Top Four Gold Medal Awarded Wineries in the USA for the past 4 years. Currently Andrew is president and co founder of the Missouri Wine Technical Group and serves as a member of the Missouri Grape and Wine Board Research Committee.
